I like hills and valleys, but lean more toward the hills. But sometimes
the valley's have nice surprises in them.

I remember the first movie ever made that was being shown in a museum in
Chicago's Museum of Sciened and Industry. The subject was a horse,
trotting along at a brisk pace. That movie was made up of single pictures
and then fanned out like you would a deck of cards in a shuffle. Each
photo showed the horse in different poses of its stride. That movie proved
that horses run and hop, with four feet on the ground and then four feet
off the ground. It also showed something that no one paid much attention
to at the time and that was how far the horse progressed in one stride.

In today's world of PC cameras, computers and such, a person's stride
distance can be measured by computer and then entered into a formula that
would determine the average time it would take a person with that stride
to run one mile. Of course there would have to be more involved in the
program than just that info.

Not me...when it's icy cold outside, my ears tend to freeze up.

Both walking and biking are good exercise.

California is like that. Texas has a yearly vehicle inspection, but it
doesn't include smog checks unless you live in one of 3 or 4 counties.
I still see vehicles broken down along the road here.
