Ah, it's a sort of quiet parental rebeldom to help the kids with wierd bits off
the ship and see what they do with them.

I snagged a can of almost depleted scotscoate with a rusty lid for the effort.
The leads needed exterior treatment on the outside at the porch and duct tape
wasnt lasting all that well for them.  Ellis (not a typo for Elise but a guy
upstairs) sheepishly produced the end tail of some tape stuff we use on the
ship for antennas and radars.

The flock is running about 'preserving their antennas' with that stuff now.  In
case folks havent caught on (took me a little too) they have a short wave
radio station going with the music off MP3's.  Charlotte unaccountably, is off
playing dolls this time with what i call the 'giggle gaggle girls'.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Pakoda Fried Crispy Snacks From South Asia
 Categories: Appetizers
      Yield: 4 servings
 
    115 g  Mungbean flour
     75 g  Onion
     30 g  Rice flour
      4 g  Coriander leaves
      2 g  Salt:
      2 g  Curry leaves
     10 ml Dalda (Hydrogenated
           Vegetable oil)
           Vegetable oil for deep
           Frying
 
  Pakoda are fried, crispy snacks usually made from bengal gram flour
  with rice flour. Provided you have flour in stock, these treats take
  just 20 minutes to make.  They are real favorites, great for special
  occasions, and they can be stored for up to three days at room
  temperature!
  
  Chop onion, chilies, curry leaves and coriander. Add salt and mix
  well. Mix mungbean flour and rice flour. Add melted dalda. Add all
  the ingredients and mix to a thick consistency, adding a small amount
  of water as needed. Be sure not to make the dough too moist. You will
  have to experiment a little with this. Make dough balls of varying
  sizes and deep fry them until golden brown. Drain on paper and serve
  hot. Serves four.
