Hi Ruth,

Friday was usually the "deadest" day at the newspaper office anyway.
The paper hit the street on Thursday morning so all day Wednesday and
early hours Thursday morning were the busiest.  For Thanksgiving or
other Thursday holidays, the paper came out on Wed.; other day of the
week holidays they just worked around the day off unless it was Wed.
Then they would have to put in some work on the holiday or have a lot
more than usual done on Tuesday and start work even earlier on Thursday.

Sounds familiar.  I want to start shelving books but we've not found the
pins for some shelves yet.  We're also going to do a sorting as we
shelve; some books may find new homes.

As long as the chocolate was protected, everything was OK. (G)

So do they appreciate your artwork?  Designed any album covers (that
actually have been used)?

-> We have them too but don't usually go.  Stopped at one on Halloween for

Depends on the area; I've seen quite a few in various parts of the
country that have all sorts of characters working them on Halloween.
Other characters work them the rest of the year. (G)

-> bath towel.  Used velcro on both sides of the top so the inner bag
-> wouldn't collapse to the bottom.

 RH> I've never velcro-ed them, just made the bag long enough to flap over.

A long slim bag needed something to hold the inner bag in place.
Besides, I use velcro in lots of other sewing jobs so why not
incorporate it into these?

 RH> That sounds like a major pain.  A place that's built

Yes, and we understand there are a few single story quarters available
in the officer area.  One soldier moved his family into one of them even
tho he didn't need the single story plan--he just got tired of waiting
for quarters and told housing that he would take the single story unit
just so he could get settled.  It does throw those in needa curve ball
tho.

 RH> It's a German gator.:-)  Steiff and all that.

Area joke--we're so close to Florida we hear almost as much about the
gaters as we do the bulldogs or some of the other area college teams.

-> Just a bit of attention from us; somebody else feeds her.

 RH> OTOH, she'd probably take a hand-out!

Provided we had one.  My new pulminologist is of the same camp the one I
had in HI was--no pets for me.  We had to turn down the offer of a
Bichon Friese (one lady in the church breeds them, had a slightly older
pup that just needed a good home) because of it.

-> He hasn't bought into that one yet.  Right now his biggest is "are you
-> sure you can use one with your foot the way it is?" --and I can't
give -> him a definative answer; best I can do is "I don't know until I
try" and -> he's not willing to yield enough to let me try.  I have to
find one tho, -> to try it.

If that were the case, I'd never get any sewing done, especially this
past week end.  A 20K march with 15+ pounds in the ruck on Friday
morning did Steve in the rest of the week end.
