Gee, we've had the same thing happen a time or two. (G)  This time we
got 2 new chairs, one for each of us. Steve's chair was still fairly
good so it got put in the sewing room to use at one of my other machine
tables.

RH> Sounds like you'll be missed.  Last June our company had a picnic with

It was a hoot; she is a wisp of a gal and was pregnant out to
...........here. The baby was born 5 days later.

I know the feeling. Steve kept a stash of granola bars in his desk when
he was the first sergeant--never knew how long he'd be at work and one
would hold him over if he got held over.

RH> This one isn't much bigger.  I think we've had 2 smaller kitchens--the
RH> one in Monterey (Pacific Grove) when Steve was in language school and

 CS> The one here is decently big. It's almost too big if that makes sense.

I know what you mean.  Our best kitchen was probably in Berlin (for
military housing); we're going to try & incorporate a bit of that one
into this one by putting slide outs into the pantry.  Only thing was, it
was avocado green cabinetry.  We got around it by putting up contact
paper on the upper level--a white background with thin red, blue, yellow
and IIRC, green plaid striping. It also lacked a dishwasher.
