   there is Burton Ford in Newark, Joan McDiarmid in Buffalo and Janis
   Kracht in Windsor.   You may notice that Janis is starting to talk
   about an Echo Picnic at her place sometime this summer.   Consider
   joining us all there!

   It is called planned second meals:-}}   We often do that.   For
   example, tonight Gail made a batch of split pea soup.   We had some
   for dinner with some sandwiches made from left over oven roast beef.
   We'll probably have another meal with pea soup tomorrow and then
   freeze two or three meal servings for other days down the road.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Indian Garlic Potatoes
 Categories: Side dish
      Yield: 6 Servings
 
     20 cl Garlic, peeled
    1/4 c  Water
      2    Jalapeno peppers, seeded
           -and sliced
      2 c  Or 2-15oz cans cooked
           -chickpeas, drained
      3 md Russet potatoes, peeled and
           -cut into small cubes
     12 oz Can tomato sauce
      8 oz Can tomato paste
      1 ts Ground cumin
      2 c  Water
           Salt to taste
 
  In blender or food processor, puree garlic with 1/4c water.
  In heavy soup pot or Dutch oven cook garlic paste over med high heat
  for 5 mins, stirring, until most of the liquid has evaporated.
  Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer,
  uncovered for 40 mins, or until potatoes are tender.
  VL's note:  Proceed with caution.  The process of cooking down the
  garlic paste makes this a truly strong stew.
  
  Per serving: 265 cals (6% from fat), 10g prot, 2g fat, 56g carb, 989mg
  sodium, 0 chol, 8.9g fiber
