========================
Howdy Ruth!
->
-> -> hn> My first time I had the fleets
-> ->  hn> about 6 bottles though!
->
-> -> That's quite a bit. We've only had two, or the gallon jug.
->
Uhm, they weren't for oral ingestion...till I talked
to Stephen, I didn't even know Fleets had anything
for the oral end! The enema ones aren't pleasant, but
they were better than the go-likecrazy stuff (IMO)

-> hn> evidently fleets is out of popularity
-> hn> these days. I had it the first time and
->  hn> never since.
->
-> Depends on the doctor; some think that it doesn't clean you out as well
-> as the gallon jug.
-> -> hn> Heck, it was a lot nicer than
-> ->  hn> any dr's office that I've ever seen!
->
-> -> Some of them are OK but most could be lots better. I've got a
-> -> pulmonology appointment tomorrow; the office there is is good but not
-> -> great on decor. The oncologist's office keeps a dish of candy on the
-> -> reception window ledge; my dentist does likewise but his is labeled
-> -> "sugar free".
->
-> hn> This place was nicer than just about any
-> hn> place I've been, including some very
->  hn> nice restaurants!
->
-> That must be some well off medical practice!
->
Seems there may be a lot of money
to be found "down there" (grin) Not
a job I'd want though!

-> ->  hn> Someone had a sight on my hind end that's
-> ->  hn> for sure!
->
-> -> Hopefully the sight on your hind was 20/20. (GD&R)
->
-> hn> Heck, with the size of my hind
->  hn> more like 40/40! (grin)
->
-> zip my lip (AKA no comment)
->
LOL, You'd be hardpressed to come up
with one I have not already heard

-> -> hn> Had dental work done yesterday, 4 hours
-> -> hn> in the chair; root canal and crown...I went
-> -> hn> home and spent the rest of the day in shock
-> -> hn> in bed with the thermostat up to 80 in the
-> ->  hn> house...and I was still cold!
->
-> -> No fun at all. Lots of pain killers and warm liquids too, I presume.
->
-> hn> hot liquids yes, pain killers no.
->
-> OK, hopefully you are feeling better now.
->
It usually only takes me one day to get over
the visit but I'm pretty useless for that one day.

-> -> hn> there were a couple of girls who actually knew how
-> -> hn> to cook, but most of the students (girls and guys alike)
-> ->  hn> know very little!
->
-> -> That's a sad reflection on society as a whole now. Home ec is out of
-> -> most schools and moms are too busy working outside the home to teach
-> -> kids how to cook. Fast food and microwaves (if the kid can read
heating
-> -> directions) are the main ways lots of kids (and young adults) know how
-> -> to feed themselves.
->
-> hn> It IS a sad reflection! When I was there
-> hn> I cooked several meals that we shared
-> hn> with the dorm...they all loved the food,
-> hn> but only a couple were intersted at all in
-> hn> how it was made! We stopped in Davis
->
-> And some years from now the kids will think back to those meals,
-> wondering how they were cooked/assembled.
->
One would hope that they would eventually
learn to fend for themselves and gain those
skills.

-> hn> on our way out to the coast and it was
->  hn> farmer's market day...and we ended up
-> hn> buying a HUGE box of tomatoes for almost
->  hn> nothing...so I made tomato sauce out of
-> hn> them when we got to the Labs. It was
-> hn> great stuff too! And we froze it so Amanda
-> hn> would have some to use with dishes
-> hn> after we were gone....One of the girls
->
-> Made sense. I'd have done likewise if I knew the facilities were
-> available.
->
makes total sense! (grin) and the sauce
was goooooood!
->
-> hn> in the dorm was AMAZED that anyone
-> hn> even knew HOW to make tomato sauce
-> hn> from scratch! She watched me do it and
-> hn> later on she made a batch herself, so I
-> hn> was extra happy that I was able to share
-> hn> that little bit of knowledge!
->
-> I did similar when a friend got a big box of tomatoes on a government
-> give away except I taught her how to can them. A couple of days later,
-> she taught a neighbor of hers how to can tomatoes (she'd gotten a box
-> also). Both instances were such that freezing or making into sauce was
-> not as good an option as canning.
->
We used to do a lot of canning, but
tomatoes were one thing I never liked
to can, not that I didn't like canned
tomatoes, but I knew some folks who
had a bunch of canned (in canning jars)
tomatoes explolde...and it turned out
they were loaded with botulism...and
just the thought of that gave me
enough pause so that I didn't want
to can tomatoes.
chat with you soon!
