Hi Carol,

CS> Naw, I think there I'd go some sort of pretty rock with smoothe
 CS> pebbles.

Getting fancy there. Most rock yards are non descript stones. Every so
often a pretty one might slip thru the sorter and get into a yard. If
you want a pretty rock yard, expect to pay plenty. One of the more
common decorative features of a xeroscaped yard is a big old boulder
planted generally in place of a tree. (G) It takes a bit to set up a
yard like that but afterward, it's quite low maintainence.

CS> KInd depends on how much space you have to start with. Ours is quite
 CS> minimal.

We don't have that much floor space in this kitchen. No real good place
to stow it in the near by utility room either. That has the washer &
dryer, a triangular built in shelving unit and the water heater.
There's a half bath nearby but that's too small. The only really good
place to keep it would be in the family room which we made into the
formal living room.

 CS> (snip)

 CS> Grin, 4 loads there.

Probably closer to 5 or 6; the first load was really packed. The second
was full but not as packed. The first load had one of our larger cutting
boards in it; the counter top dishwasher wouldn't even hold my "normal"
cutting boards. I have a regular size one each for meat and produce,
then a middling large for meat and a large for produce all in plastic.
I've got a few wooden cutting boards that don't go into the dish washer
and some small plastic GP use ones that do.

CS> I have some of a core wardrobe and am still working on details. I
 CS> need 2 decent suits.

That's where I'd be pulling out the sewing machine to suppliment what I
buy. (G) I'd buy the suits but make blouses, skirts............
