Hi Janis,

JK> > And he spoils me rotten. (G)

JK> Oh no!!! another spoiled brat like ME???? (lol) I think we should
 JK> start a club (grin)

It's worth thinking about.

>> Normally for me that means get out of the garden and the sun :) :)
>> Get some shade for a bit :)

JK> > That helps but a drink will also. Sip it while enjoying the view.

JK> It's the darn heat that gets to me, water or no (grin). It's almost
JK> like I'm drunk.. just a symptom of the MS. We've learned over the
JK> years how to deal with all this stuff, though. That's part of the

Yes, we're dealing with a lot we never thought, even a year ago, we'd
not be doing so. Had my latest blood check today. Numbers are still in
the normal range but a bit lower than a couple of weeks ago. I'm about
half done now

JK> reason I still smoke (sick though it sounds). No stress or agita
JK> pretty much means no negative activity in the legs.. unless I smoke
 JK> too much.. then I pay (g).

Well, I'll do anything to keep you from smoking too much. I was on my
feet too much Friday evening and Saturday & really felt it into last
night.

JK> > Yes, but it was a nice feeling that day. To see the dad's face melt
JK> > when he saw his son for the first time.............

 JK> That's really really neat :) I remember seeing my daughter's face
JK> when her first was born :) it was almost too much :)

I know; I was there when Robert was born. Rachel and David had funny
reactions--hers was that "he doesn't look like an Aidan (the name they'd
originally picked for him) and David thought that he looked exactly like
my father. I got back to HI after spending 4 weeks with the kids and our
neighbor told us she was pregnant.

JK> > good one on the North Shore of Oahu; the only problem there is the
JK> > amount of cilantro they used in almost every thing. I'd spend a good
JK> > part of the meal pulling it out of my food--they used big leaves so

JK> hahahahahahaha don't tell me you don't like Cilantro.. I hate it :)

Steve hates it; I'll take it in small doses.

JK> > No, and so far I've felt well enough that we've not dug into the
JK> supply. > Then too, I've been keeping meals pretty basic. Last night
 JK> we had
JK> > chicken fried rice; I had everything ready so when Steve called to
JK> > after 7) but a quick one with minimal fuss and clean up. Tonight is
JK> > pasta and meat balls; I've got the sauce and meat balls going and
JK> will > have a pot of water heating about the time I expect him to

 JK> Here, it's more Me:"are you hungry?" Him:"Ah, kinda" Me:"ok lemme see
JK> what we've got today" Him:"Darn, now I'm starving" (grin).

We're like that more on week ends. There are enough during the week
evening committments that I usually plan either supper or get something
while we're out. Took out another freezer meal for dinner yesterday but
will do something else tonight.

>> She was born July 21st :)

 JK> > That's my birthday too. (G)

 JK> That is too much :) :) Absolutely :)

It's a good day to have a birthday. (G)

JK> > It helps to know what the packers expect.

JK> Yep.. and when we did it ourselves (not a moving company doing it), it
JK> wasn't hard to figure what stayed til the last moment, and what got
 JK> packed beforehand :)

We've had packers do it for the last 8 moves but most of them have been
ones where we could not do it ourselves (to/from overseas). Steve asked
before we packed out on the last one if I wanted to hold out a sewing
machine. I declined but will from now on--he ended up buying me one
while we were waiting for housing that we sent to Deborah later. We do
pack things like the computers, my sewing stuff, etc in their original
boxes which the movers then put into other boxes--gives it another layer
of protection. I'll have my sewing stuf organised to the point where I
know what's where and can get my sewing room set up faster. In the
kitchen I'll have herbs and spices I want moved packed up so the movers
don't have to deal with them. Then I'll hold out what I'll use until we
clear quarters, toss or give away the rest.

JK> > You don't hear about it much these days.

JK> No you don't.. I remember seeing it in the Joy of Cooking and figuring
JK> how could you not do this :)

I don't remember where I first read about it but I think we'd pretty
much made the switch before then.

>> A lifetime of it for you, it seems :)

JK> > Over half of my life time, but the better half. (G)

 JK> So I'm a slow starter I guess :)

Slow is better than not doing it at all.

Catch you later,
