Hi Janis,

>> haha.. great saying :) And I'm glad you're taking it easy!

JK> > Best way to conserve my health. (G)

JK> Definitely :) I remember long ago a while after of getting MS, and
JK> there was about Zero energy in me... We established new house rules:
JK> If it bothers you, clean it up.. unless you're a teenager (g).

No teens living with us now. It was so refreshing to have Deborah visit
in December--quick in and outs like she used to do. Thursday night we
went over to one of the local seafood places for supper and realised
we'd not been there since her visit.

JK> > Pulled another freezer meal out for
JK> > tonight; it'll go in the oven with a samll acorn squash.

 JK> Sounds good :)

We had it last night, and it was good.

>> LOL - quite an idea (g) I hope he doesn't decide to start reading
>> echos LOL

 JK> > HEY RON................... (G)

JK> LOL, NO FAIR :) But I'm lucky.. he doesn't have time to read Fidonet
 JK> messages :)

Steve skims, and occaisionally adds a note. He got wordy tho in this
batch.(G) BTW, we've separate accounts--makes things easier.

>> side and the Dutch side, really clearly (g). My son and I sure look
>> very much alike (g). When he was growing up, his eye doctor called me
>> his sister once, I thought I'd die laughing :)

JK> > How did your son take it?

JK> He laughed pretty hard :)

At least he appreciated it and wasn't offended.

 JK> >I was mistaken for a friend's daughter a few
JK> > times; she's only 7 years older than I am. So, kiddingly, if she was
JK> > fussing at me to take it easy, I'd say "yes mother". (G)

 JK> Lol :)

Helps my sanity a bit there, whatever's left of it anyways.

>> they put it > in everything. Taco Bell is not even close to real
>> Mexican food,

>> Yes, really, I think we ate there ONCE about 20 years ago out of
JK> > Deborah worked at one in high school. (G)

JK> Hopefully they didn't make her eat there :)

She was a teen and ate anything that wasn't nailed down. One night she
came home with not only a TB meal but a McD's and proceeded to eat both,
before going to bed not long after. She was on her JROTC drill team
besides working and going to school--and working up an appetite.

>> with that, or just make some bulk sausage if I can't find the
>> casings... could be great.. we had some of the ground turkey as
>> burgers the other night, and they were great so the sausage seasonings
>> should be good..

JK> > Sounds like it should be good. We've bought turkey sausage from time
JK> to > time. I can use it instead of the pork in some things that'll
JK> keep Steve > happy and give me a sausage taste, even if it's not quite
JK> the same as > pork.

JK> Sure, understand... the seasonings are great.

That's what makes or breaks sausage. Steve was out doing some errands
today and brought home a natural cured Canadian bacon for him to try.
He also got me some country ham. (G)

JK> 3 > bedroom town house (quadplex military housing) in HI. The guys in
JK> HI > didn't take many breaks and had more on the team.

JK> These guys we had just went through the house like crazy, wrapping and
JK> boxing every single thing including a bag of garbage that was waiting
JK> to go outside to the trash :)

We've learned (from other's horror stories) to make sure things like
that are marked as off limits or put out of the way before the packers
come. Be glad you had a short move vs an overseas one. (G) Last time
we moved, I put big masking tape Xs over areas I didn't want them to
pack. I think the kitchen had most of them.

>> though and take that in the car as well. The commerical moving
>> company won't warrantee or guarantee anything that you don't let THEM
>> pack.. which would be a problem I think. But thankfully, we're not
>> going anywhere soon (g).

JK> > As of now, we're here until the end of next April. But, things
JK> could > change; that's part of the "fun" of being military.

JK> I can understand that :) There are plenty of times I've thought about
 JK> a change of scenery (g).

It does add to your perspective of the world. Plus, as you know from
your move to KY, you get to try new foods--just from a different part of
the USA.
