Hi Ruth,

It was all loose stuff.  I don't know how they would have packaged it if
I'd bought any.  Given that it as our last day, I didn't have the time
to hunt down extra packaging to ensure it would have gotten thru TSA &
other screenings.  We had to go thru customs in Atlanta, pick up our
checked bags, re-check them to Raleigh and get re-screened before we
could get into the gate area.  It was a tight call for us; I think
others on the trip heading elsewhere had less "wiggle room" than we did.
Haven't heard if anyone missed a flight tho.

Steve has a program to change his keyboard into Hebrew so he could have
dealt with it--if the file wasn't corrupted along the way.  He was
having problems with the modern Hebrew when we first got there but got
better as the week went on.  But as he said, it's like comparing Chaucer
to modern English, what he's studying and what he saw in Israel.

Undoubtedly, I didn't look into jewelry shop windows either.  From the
bus, I saw a couple of places signed as supermarkets but I couldn't go
in to compare them to an Ameican one.  One thing I was able to see tho
is that they didn't look as big as even a 7-11.

And that makes the difference. I just acquire pieces that I like to
wear.

Even now, unless uou live in an area with Jewish people, you don't
really learn too much about it.  And, I suspect, a lot of Gentiles don't
learn too much about Jewish customs, traditions, foods, etc unless they
want to or have to.

The main topping I recall from the camp I worked at one summer was
applesauce.  That and sour cream, tho I would think other things would
work well too, especially fruits.
