Agreed, tho when I went to England for a week with some friends (while
we were in Germany), I bought a small replica of an Ost house--where
hops are cured.  The area we were in was major hop country.

I thought blackbery wine was more the old folk cure for that.  I know it
does work for some stomach issues; I had personal experience with
finding out how well just a bit worked, some 30+ years ago.

It's just not a matter of course with us.  When we go out and are asked
if we want anything to drink, we either say "no thank you" or "unsweet
tea (Steve) and sweet tea or diet coke" (for me).  Easy way to handle
it.

My parents drink some, my siblings all do to various degrees except my
younger brother.  He gave it up some years ago after seeing how a friend
killed someone in an accident and realised he could have just as easily
been him behind the wheel.
