Nothing worthless about PBS. What *IS* worthless is the majority of programming
on the major networks.

Do you have an outside antenna, or do you depend on some form of rabbit ears?
With a tall enough mast and antenna you *should* be able to pull stuff from up
to 100 miles away. Which *should* include NYC, Boston and Albany, NY. As well

Springfield, MA and other Connecticut cities. Sometimes local programming is
ay
more interesting than network dreck.

You could always get a TeeVee with an ATSC tuner (digital) in it. Then you
don't/shouldn't need the converter box. Telling people with digital glass teats
that they *need* a digital converter box (at extra cost) is just another way
the barstids rip-off their captives.
 
Who is your "local" cable company? $cumca$t? Time-Warner? CableVision? Charter?
They're all thieves but $cumca$t is the absolute worst of the lot.

      Title: Charter House Inn Buffalo Shrimp
 Categories: Seafood, Shrimp, Breads, Chilies, Snacks
      Yield: 4 servings

      1 lb Raw 31/40 shrimp; peeled,
           - deveined
      2 c  Golden Dipt all-purpose
           - breading
      1 tb Dry (Colman's) mustard
      2 ts Kosher salt
      2 ts Cayenne pepper
      2 ts Garlic powder
    1/4 lb Butter
      2 c  Frank's Red Hot Sauce
      1 tb Vinegar
      1 lg Egg
    1/3 c  Water

  Charter House Inn Henderson is located in Harbor, NY. This
  is the best buffalo shrimp we have tried! You can make your
  reservations at 315-938-7200.

  Mix all dry ingredients. Prepare egg wash, by beating egg
  together with water. Melt 1/4 lb butter mix with red hot
  sauce and vinegar.

  Dip shrimp in egg wash, bread with breading mixture. Fry
  in deep fryer at 350øF.

  Place in container with hot sauce mixture shake well.

  Serve with celery and blue cheese. This is excellent!
