=============
Hi Sean,

RH> I'd love to have Felix but Tigger might miss his buddy if he came for
RH> an extended visit. Please give both kitties a chin scratch from me.
RH> So,I'll just settle for wearing an extra pair of socks to keep my feet

SD> You wouldn't recognize Felix. Both he and Tigger are at nearly 14
SD> pounds (healthy weight for cats their size). Tigger took 7 years to
SD> get that size; Felix just took a year and a half. Felix is always
SD> living up to his name and is rather mischevious. There are cat toys
SD> everywhere as well as bottle caps (he loooves his bottle caps). Right

Sounds like you're feeding them pretty well. Our last cat was barely 5
pounds when we had to give her up. She was small to begin with, then
the health issues she had took even more weight off of her.

SD> now, though, it is nap time for both kitties. They will be asleep
SD> until around 3 PM when Maura comes home. They're reserving their
SD> energy for later tonight when they will be active.

Cat napping now so they can play all night. Typical cats. (G)

 RH> How's school going for you and Maura?  We're into second semester;
RH> Steve has 4 academic classes on campus, one on line and chapel choir
RH> as his stress relief class. We both have class on Thursday night so
RH> it's an early supper (to allow for clean up time) and out the door.
RH> I've been pulling things from the freezer but will have to start
RH> restocking it soon to have enough to get thru the semester.

SD> Maura is doing quite well in her second semester. She's actually at
SD> school taking some tests and should be done soon. I am busy looking

Good; it sounds like she's found something that she is enjoying, despite
the work. Is she still doing her jewwlr work on the side?

SD> for work online as well as trying to rustle up some clients for my
SD> nascent computer business (http://www.dlscomputing.com) as well as
SD> doing housework. I'm seriously considering going back to school
SD> myself once I get a job that I can work with concerning a schedule.

The working out of the schedule can be quite frustrating. Steve has 2
of the same instructors he had for first semester; he's familiar with
the way they teach. It made sense to go with them for the 2nd part of
the class. The choir instructor is also the same, no trying to learn a
new director's ways. It is nice that we both have class on Thursday
nights this semester but it also means I have to schedule supper with
enough time to do the clean up afterward. Last semester, Steve would do
the clean up after he took me to class.

SD> Believe it or not, I'm not completely sure what I would like to get my
SD> degree in. You'd think at 37 years old, I'd know, but I've found the
SD> older I get, there's much more that fascinates me, such as geology and
SD> meteorology, but I'll probably stick to something computer related
SD> (such as information science) because I know it so well.

I know; I've thought about getting a Master's degree but not sure what
field I'd go for now. I won't be getting a Master's out of the program
I'm in now but it is a lot of solid learning to compliment Steve's
program.

SD> We've been cooking a lot more at home to stretch the budget. It's too
SD> close for comfort now and we're trying to get things just right for us
SD> to keep going on. Luckily, our expenses are low and even if I got a

Also a lot better for you. Have yu bought a whole chicken, roasted it
and then used it for various meals? We do that from time to time; the
bones usually end up as the basis for a quick and easy soup when there's
nothing else left.

SD> job flippin' burgers again along with the part-time computer business,
 SD> we'd be doing okay.

But would you really be happy flipping burgers again?

SD> We're wanting to drive down to Atlanta to get Maura's mother's deep
SD> freezer that she wants to give us, but with Maura's schedule, it can
SD> be hectic to do so. I'm thinking sometime next month when this wet
SD> and cold weather hopefully will even out.

Sounds like a good idea. Maura should have a break around Easter (the
first part of April) which would be a good time to plan for getting the
freezer. Then it'll be up and running for the first fruits & vegetables
a few weeks later. I like to put a lot of do ahead meals or fixin's for
them in the freezer. It makes things easier when there's a time crunch
to have a selection of pre done meals and when there is the time to
cook, you have what's needed instead of making a separate trip out for
it.

SD> I chose this recipe without looking much at it but thought it would
SD> taste good in this cold weather...then I realized it'd been one year
SD> since I last posted it:

 SD> MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

SD> Title: Crock Pot Shredded Chicken Chili
 SD> Categories: Chicken, Cheese/eggs, Crockpot
 SD> Yield: 6 Servings

A very good one for this time of year, and one that doesn't take a whole
lot of fuss to put together.

... Get shopping while the gettin' is good!!!
