How did they start?

 GJ> male sports, such as soccer, cricket, basketball, rugby, and excelled.

You may be surprised to know that I actually saw that movie, while
confined within one of those aluminium tubes that travel through the
stratosphere.

 DD> leagues are much more popular than men's softball leagues. 

Women's Netball, and beach volley-ball played by girls in bikinis are
also popular TV games here.

      Title: SWEET BALLS [GHANA]
 Categories: Snacks, Ghanan, Africa-w
      Yield: 4 servings
 
      1    Eggs
    1/2 ts Salt
      3 ts Baking powder
  1 1/2 ts Sugar
    1/2 ts Sp- nutmeg, grated
  1 1/2 c  Water; warm
  3 1/2 c  Flour- plain; > 4 1/2c
           Oil- vegetable
 
  In a bowl, stir together the egg, salt, baking powder, sugar &
  nutmeg. Add the warm water & stir again. Gradually stir in enough
  flour so the dough is still sticky.
  
  Dust your hands with flour, then roll out the dough into walnut-sized
  balls.
  
  Pour 1cm oil into deep pan & heat over medium-high heat for 4
  minutes. Fry the balls, a few at a time, 3 or 4 minutes, or till
  golden brown. Remove & drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
