Sure, we do the same since we know we're generally going to get our meats at
either the health food store or the farmer's market and they can add up
:)  Generally I feel like we spend a lot more at Wegman's than we would if we
shopped for staples at another store, like Giant (someone else just bought them
out, and I forget the name...)

I generally have a loaf of 'safe' bread around for my daughter and her boys as
well - so if I have it, and there's enough left after they leave, I do the
same.  I keep a container of the Wegman's bread crumbs around since they are
safe as well - no corn syrup - they're brand is the only one that doesn't these
days :(

It's been more crazy for us during the week with the visits to the physical
therapist.. was still rough getting up in time on Saturday to make it to the
farmer's market at a reasonably early time (g)

Yeah you don't want to start them inside at least, and then have to leave
them.. I guess the same with the outdoor stuff if you don't get a lot of rain
so you can avoid watering the plants.

That's neat - when we were in the really historic house in Louisville, the
entire front lawn was covered with strawberries.. They didn't have much taste
as well.  I expect that's because strawberry plants need a lot of nutrients
added in the spring.

The temperatures during the day here are about 75F most days.. lows at night
are in the 40's and 50's.  That's plenty warm for most plants.  Not tomatoes
though.  I'll wait until mid-may most likely for them.. They love the warm days

I love the 80's as long as it's not humid.. :) And as long as it doesn't go too
much over that :)  When I have to work in the garden the sun is blazingly hot,
even in the 70's.

Glad it came back.. and that does sound like a relaxing way to catch up on mail
at least :)  Over here, it seems like the puppies always want something when
I'm trying to read, or type, then all of a sudden they'll drop on the floor
asleep - that's my chance (g).

Lol.. that's just how my mom was eating it (on occasion) here :) We actually
both grabbed chunks of the parmesian since it was such a good brand of imported
cheese. I probably won't include a grater since my sister will most likely have
one there though she doesn't use it for cheese... and mom also had a few when
she moved to my sister's house :)

That's a bit of $$ ... Probably healthier for you to not eat so much beef in
any case - actually for anyone (g).  We've tried to do that more often - though
I do love 'extra-rare' steak.

I'm surprised my sister doesn't.. even say just for Christmas.

That's a good idea.  Wegman's is the only place over here where you can get
decent brands of imported Italian cheese.. It makes sense given how much they
probably sell.

I keep bulk spices I buy in plastic bags which are stored in brown paper bags..
helps keep them fresher if you keep them out of sunlight.  Since my built-in
cupboard behind the stove/counter, etc. has glass doors, that helps a bit.
