I had to get the meal plan in college. It was required of girls then, as
well as the guys that lived in dorms.

Steve says it wasn't always the spaghettios brand but it was something
to fill their bellies.

That's a thought to be considered.

They often want meals in one like that or the canned beef stew or other
similar.  We ca't store fresh meat, produce, bread, etc so canned
pastas, soups, etc go a long way.  And, yes, I suspect the kids (and
probably a goodly number of adults) are familiar with the taste and know
that they will eat it.
