I rather much suspect so. (G) We knew enough local folks that took us in
so we had no troubles with it. The county historical society (Steve knew
a member who introduced him around.) was a good way to meet folks. We
met each month at a different (usually) restaurant; the December meeting
was at one of the older member's homes.  The June 1976 one was a picnic;
we were encouraged to come in bicentennial outfits. I made outfits for
both of us so at the picnic, we were asked to pose for a picture "for
the scrapbook" taken by a local newspaper photographer. A few days
later, I opened the paper (after reading the front page) and saw us on
page 3. We were identified as newlyweds (had been married 9 months) so
got a lot of questions from folks in the community if we got married in
those outfits. 20/20 hindsight, it would have been neat to do so.

No but they should have minded their manners better. Ask them if their
mamas knew that they were picking on younger kids? (G)

Use it till there's nothing left to use and use it some more. I know the
feeling. That's why we were told with some foods (like jelly) to use up
the old before we started the new. And, squeeze every drop of milk out,
scrape every jar clean, etc so no food was wasted. We had to eat the
crusts of the loaves of bread too, couldn't let them go to waste.
