More a comedy of errors. The Newport Gulls, at an
equivalent level, were more impressive.

Of course, the late sunset tempts the park not to
turn on the lights until close to 9 pm, and the later
innings feature some interesting play - and umpire
decisions, as there are only two of them, and they
often are a good distance from the action. It was
amusing the number of blown calls.

Why wasn't it the Red Sox?

And I'm counting on my team not to lose more
than one game of each series. The Yanks are making
their surge, though.

Wise. I admit that despite their not being my style,
the "frozen things" tend to be pretty palatable and
almost nourishing.

But medicine has, by and large, evolved in an
evidence-based way. The other stuff is just too
emotionally and "inspiration" based - which would be
fine if more people had inspiration of some kind, but
from what I've seen, they tend not to have had.

Who knows. And in any case, the placebo effect is an
interesting and good phenomenon.

      3    Eggs                                1 tb Vanilla
  1 3/4 c  Light brown sugar; firm pack      1/4 ts Maple flavoring (opt)
      3 c  Milk                                1 c  Salted pecans; chopped
      3 c  Whipping cream

  Beat eggs until foamy in a large mixing bowl. Gradually add sugar; beat
  until thickened. Add milk, cream, vanilla, and maple flavor; mix well.
  Stir in pecans. Chill. Churn-freeze. Makes 3 quarts.
