So borrow use of your sister's gas grill. She probably wouldn't mind,

We had rain off and on Saturday and Sunday. It was cloudy but dry when
we were at the farmer's market Saturday; had a good downburst a couple
of hours later. We were home by then, trying out the new copper bottom
T-fal stainless steel cookware we'd bought on Friday. Works good if you
remember to keep the heat off of high except for heating water.  Pasta
went well--one big dish just about cleaned out. Second one was split 3
ways--one part to a woman who couldn't make the meeting due to a work
committment (lunch for yesterday and extra for a work day lunch); one
part to a couple (he made it to church but his wife broke her hip in
late May--in Peru on a mission trip--and is still quite laid up, but
appreciated the company and food when we came over) and the last 1/3 for
us. Ours got split into a meal for later this week and another one in
the freezer. Another winner!

I'm not happy with electric stoves either but got to take what is in the
rental. It's off set by the fact it's a 5 minute walk to church and a 10
minute walk to school. It also has a dishwasher, something most seminary
housing doesn't have.
