Been there, done that. Twice that I can recall - once at
an echo event, fueled by curiosity; the other at a gathering
of aspiring writers, fueled by drunkenness.

Not with oatmeal, yuck.

Anyhow, it's probably acquired a rancid or other off taste
by now, but thanks anyway.

I guess the lost distinction between malts and shakes is of a
heinousness about the same as the second.

---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v7.04

      Title: FLUFFY LIGHT MEAT LOAF
 Categories: Meatloaf
   Servings:  4

      1 lb Ground beef                         1 sm Onion, finely chopped
      1 cn (6 oz.) tomato paste                1 tb Freshly chopped parsley
    1/2 c  Oatmeal                             1    Egg, lightly beaten
      3 tb Finely chopped green pepper       1/4 ts Finely chopped garlic
           Or celery                         1/2 ts Salt
      2 tb Bran                              1/4 ts Freshly ground pepper
      2 tb Wheat germ                               Chili sauce

  Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all loaf ingredients, using your
  hands. Form into loaf and place in 9X5X 3" loaf pan,cover with layer of
  chili sauce (or ketchup if desired), bake 50 minutes to 1 hour. (Do not
  overbake, since part of the secret of fluffiness is shorter cooking
  time.) Serve the meat loaf sliced and hot.

  Variation: Half ground veal and half ground beef can be used for the meat
  loaf - lower in calories. M's note: Yeah, right.
