Yep -- not in the same class as #1, IMO just a mess of three things that
might each be good alone but not all together.

This could well be the best sounding one on the list.  Not too
unreasonable in cost or in composition.  Like you, we'd probably prefer
something a little less austentatius.  But we may end up going there
someday.  Want to try it with us?

 dsh-> 4. Our Famous Pounder at Cheeburger Cheeburger: 20 ounce beef (cooks
 -> down to 16 ounce) with choice of 25 toppings.  

 BF> Wow!  Local fame for while!  Until it's covered with later pics.

This is the one place that we've been to.  Very good shakes and the
burgers are not bad -- although not our choice for best burger around.
 
 dsh-> 5. Smash Dog Pizza at Pub Dog Pizza and Drafthouse: The idea is that
 BF> you take two 10-inch pizzas and smash them together (not sure if you

 dsh-> 6. Ultimate Burrita Prenada at El Hidalgo. Cost is $39.99 for the 8
 -> pound, 2 foot long buritto -- unless you finish it in 60 minutes.  If
 -> you succeed, the buritto free and so is everything else you ordered,
 dsh-> including alcohol.  So far, no one had gotten further than 75%.

I cannot imagine even trying.  But we may visit them some day to see
what else they have to offer.


MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: West Coast Monte Cristo
 Categories: Sandwich, Main dish
      Yield: 4 servings
 
     12    Slices firm white bread
      6 tb Butter or margarine;
           -softened
      4    Thin slices cooked white
           -meat of chicken
      4 ts Sharp prepared mustard
      4    Thin slices boiled or
           -baked ham
      4    Thin slices Swiss cheese
      3    Eggs; slightly beaten
    1/3 c  Milk
    1/4 ts Salt
    1/3 c  Salad oil for frying-approx.
 
  Spread one side of four slices of bread with a thin layer of butter or
  margarine.  Top with a slice of chicken.  Spread four more slices of
  bread with butter on one side and mustard on the other.  Place,
  buttered sides down, over chicken.  Cover with slices of ham and
  cheese. Butter remaining slices of bread and put, buttered sides
  down, over cheese. Press lightly with fingers and secure at corners
  with tooth picks. Using a sharp knife, trim crusts and filling to
  make edges even. Cut each sandwich diagonally into quarters. Combine
  eggs, milk, and salt in a shallow dish. Dip sandwich quarters on all
  sides into mixture.  Fry in heated oil in a skillet until golden on
  all sides.  Remove tooth picks and serve at once.
