Yeah, I'd love to bring that door's dictionary up to speed but right now I
simply don't have time and probably won't have time until next June. :)

On a side note, is BW working for you okay?  I'm assuming no news is good news,
but one never knows.

No, but it probably will be later this week.  We are going out today to hit a
few local grocery stores to look for good deals on meat.  Maura's workplace,
Food City, is normally quite overpriced on everything but they have an
excellent selection of meat and generally a lot of "sale" meat which we buy and
stick in the freezer.  Thanks to our lifesaver, our big red George Foreman
grill, we get meat like boneless pork chops for a easy and tasty evening meal.

Heck, I picked up some Angus strip steaks, nicely marbled, on sale for $6 for
two of them.  Maura joked about "surf n' turf" so I also got a package of
frozen battered shrimp that was on sale too. :)  That will be a dinner later
this week.  Kroger also had salmon steaks on sale for a good price so I picked
those up too.  Tonight's dinner will be grilled salmon steaks with some rice
and salad.  I'm not normally a salad person but last night salad sounded good
so I grabbed some "50/50" mix which is just baby spinich with some romaine
lettuce (I think).

Today, once I can arouse the dead (Maura is NOT a morning person; 8 AM is early
for her) and we can head out, I'm going to keep my eye out for a chuck roast to
toss in the crockpot.  The experiment from a few weeks ago was quite
successful.  Maura has requested that I put some veggies and taters in with the
roast also this time around.

In January, we're going to buy a chest freezer up here if we aren't able to go
down to Atlanta and get the old Montgomery Ward chest freezer Maura's mom has
given us.  I think the freezer will really benefit us allowing us to stock up
more for leaner times (such as during the summer).  I also enjoy batch cooking
although Maura doesn't like to eat the same meal twice in one week.  I like to
cook up spaghetti, put servings into a FoodSaver bag, seal them, and toss them
into a freezer.  That way when I'm hungry, I just nuke the bag and voila!
instant dinner. ;)
