OK, I know what a shellback is but what is a golden one and a golden
dragon?

Most of the time I have no trouble being sensible--but there are
times........................

I know, we are pretty much of the same persuasion. Still, sigh!

 HN> She has 5 different anti nausea meds that she can

 HN> on. She even has some naturapathic ones that work

As long as something does work, that's the important part.


-> Today I baked a couple of pumpkin pies and made a batch of marinaded
-> carrots. They'll go, with the cheese ball & crackers, pickle/olive
-> plate, veggie/dip plate and smoked turkey over to the church for dinner
-> tomorrow. My fridge is so full I had to take the regular ww flour and
-> the ww pastry flour out to have room--but then bought a bunch of turnips

 HN> have. but I have pickles, olives, and cheeses

I think the pickles on mine went over better than the olives. I had
green and kalamata olives, plus 4 kinds of home made pickles--kosher
dill, bread & butter, beets and green beans (sort of spicy). The veggies
weren't as popular so the carrots & celery will go into beef stew; some
of the mushrooms will as well, the rest will be sauteed with olive oil &
(probably) frozen for a steak and the cucumbers will go into a salad.
Steve's smoked turkey was a big hit but there were 3 other turkeys so we
brought a good bit home. Same with the pumpkin pie; there were others so
we brought home one full pie that Steve is enjoying. Part of the heavy
cream he got to whip will go into a quiche.

-> adrenyline may keep her going longer on other days. Are the students
-> aware of what's going on?

 HN> We'll be meeting the Principal next week!
 HN> We'll go in after the kids have left for
 HN> the day. Anne is chomping at the bit to
 HN> get back into the classroom!! The kids know
 HN> she's the teacher and the substitute is
 HN> scheduled to cover for another teacher who'll
 HN> be going on maternity leave after Christmas.

Sounds like things are falling into place. The sub might just as well
have signed a contract to teach the whole year. (G)
