Such a deal. There were some for a while that went together
consistently, but - true to form - I can't remember them.

For me, as I spend much of my life cream-starved, I prefer that
the balance be more coconutty, and also fresh pineapple used to
give me the same kind of mouth cramps as fresh tomatoes did, so
there's the remnant of an ancient aversion.

Yay, I get to go there today. Problem is that his maladaptation
causes similar things in myself. In fact, one of the most
infuriating things is that his are magnifications of tendencies
that ran in the family, so they're really very recognizable.

She takes work home with her - and even not being president of the
society, she still writes the weekly newspaper column (at one time
a task for the president, now whoever has time, I guess) and the
monthly newsletter.

In my career, this took the form of my being either concertmaster
or a lazy back bencher (sometimes even back in the viola section),
which sort of confused my colleagues. Lately I would prefer lethargy,
but all my gigs are up front (pays a bit more, which is good).

Baked eggplant with onions
cat: side, main
yield: 4 to 6 servings

2 lg eggplant
4 lg onions, cut lengthwise
15 oz can diced tomatoes
1 c chopped parsley
1/4 c olive oil
2 Tb chopped garlic
2 bay leaves
s, p

Oven at 375F.

[M's note: eggplant probably should be sliced or cut into
large cubes; onions likewise; this isn't a cooking magazine]

In a large pan, coat eggplant with oil and roast 20 min
or until juices start to dry.

Wilt onions in oil. Add remaining ingredients except parsley
and cook 5-10 min. Add parsley.

Lower heat to 350F. Pour sauce over eggplant and bake 20 min.
