Just a little bit. But there was only one site in the yard that was
suitable, the old one. I kept telling myself that human waste wasn't
as gross as pig or chicken manure (cow poop is perfume compared to
them) but I never convinced myself of that.

There certainly is a relationship.

 As a 118-lb weakling I sometimes drank prodigious

But there are other factors that come into play too: frequency of
imbibing (one must stay in training), fatigue, combining with food
or not, heredity, overall health etc.

That has been the best way to date. All the cocktails that were
Limoncello forward were slightly disappointing.

Yep, Been doing that for years. Also lemon and orange peel,
cranberries, raspberries etc. And cheap Triple Sec is wonderful in
tea.

It was invented at The Drink, a Williamsburg bar, with a rustic and
nautical theme and the bartender was looking for an old nautical
name as a hook.

     Title: Queensland Lime Cordial
Categories: Australian, Fruit, Beverages
  Servings: 1 quart

     10    limes
      4 c  water
      6 c  sugar
      2 ts citric acid
      1 TB tartaric acid

Using a clean potato peeler, peel long strips of the zest off just
five of the limes. Juice all the limes and keep the juice.

Bring water to the boil with the lime zest. Mix sugar and powders
together.

Pour the combined sugar and crazy white science powders into the
boiling water.

Stir until dissolved. Boil for 3 minutes. Remove from the heat. Pour
in the lime juice, ideally pouring it through a fine sieve to remove
any little bits of flesh that might make your cordial cloudy. Bring
the cordial back to the boil and gently simmer for 2 minutes.

Remove from the heat and leave to cool. Remove the zest.

Now bottle in sterile containers - preferably Johnny Walker bottles
if you want to keep with tradition. Allow to settle for a day before
using.

This recipe will also work with lemons, oranges or a combination of
citrus.
