Ärende: almost baseball time

-> Got that down! This morning, knowing I wanted to do curry for supper &

-> the afternoon, I got going on it. Cooked the beef & onion mix, then
-> added the potatoes & cooked them until just short of tender. All I had
-> to do when we got home was reheat & thicken it, reheat some rice and
-> heat a can of peas & paneer cheese. Got that on close out at Lowe's last
-> week; going there tomorrow & see if more are available. Steve tried out
-> the tortilla press we got a while ago--tortillas were somewhat on the
-> thick side but made a good substitute for naan.

Sounds good..our favorite Indian 
place just closed up (replaced by
a 7-11) so we have not been looking
for another one yet. 
 
-> I've also got my sewing room mostly all cleaned up and stowed; now I can
-> start on some long awaited projects that had been put off for various
-> reasons. I'll resume work with Santa this spring but in the meantime,
-> hope to have a lot of my back projects finished off.  My classes resume
-> January 26; Steve's do on the 23rd.

em done before classes take back up!

worrying so much about her immune

Anyone who gets Fielder will be strapped
for cash afterwards...rumor are 275 mil for
10 years is what he's wanting...that's a 
LOT of money to put in one basket, and for
a LOooong time in baseball! We did trade 
off Michael Pineda one of our rookies from
last year..to the Yankees (curse em!!). We got
in trade a minorleague pitcher and Jesus Montero
their rookie catcher...we need batting power and
have lots of good arms in the system..I just wish
it had NOT been this particular arm...I really
liked Pineda and he was a really nice kid who
smiled a lot and really loved to visit with 
other folks...I had a nice chat with him one 
day when I was hanging out by the clubhouse
door before a game last year.

Oddly enough Jack Z our GM knows my name and
knows me by sight...as does the President
of the ballclub and even several of the 
players know who I am. But no, I don't think
they'd ask for my advice, though I think
it's as good and valid as some of the
advice they DO listen to (grin). I do
get the chance to talk to a whole lot 
more fans than THEY do as well!
