It did seem like a quite nice repast... :)  Of course, one can go all
out for a dinner party... but day in day out fare might be a little more
difficult to keep interesting and tasty for the long haul.  :)

What carbs there were were probably well balanced with fiber and other
aids to digesting them well.

I wouldn't expect to miss the meat short-term, with a well-planned menu
such as that was.  As you say, there was plenty of protein and oil and
calories to satisfy.  Weeks or months on the diet, one might.
