There was one who was big while we were there but I think he had
residency problems. Chai Chawaseria (not sure on last name but was long
and started with Ch). Don't know if he's still as popular as he was; for
that matter, don't hear much about the Pacific Rim chefs/cooking as we
did 10 years ago.

Warm & sunny here, some clouds, high was close to (if not) 70. Rain is
moving in tho.

Keep it; I've seen enough of the critters. John Burroughs is famous for
saying "shoot one and seven come to its funeral"; not too far off the
truth there. He named one of the buildings on his property "Woodchuck
Lodge".  He was born and raised about 15 miles from where I was.

BTW, we talked with my parents the other night; the town is still
without a grocery store since the remnants of Irene took the only one
out in late August. They were going gung ho on getting up & running
again but the latest is that the interest has fallen off. The town
really took a beating from that and flooding a couple of weeks later.
Dad said they had 2 "hundred year" floods in 15 years; one in 1996
knocked out the store that was on the location before. They rebuilt,
then sold out to the current folks several years ago. There's not really
any good place on higher ground to rebuild in the town itself so folks
are really hurting for getting food, especially the elderly and those
who can't drive the 25 miles or so to the nearest town with a
supermarket.
