For some, the very concept of truth is extremely fluid.  And can
manifest in very strange ways.

I know... done that too.  It appears that he at least has some sense of
the distinction between truth and lies, even if he doesn't always follow
it..  I've had some that will tell a bald lie to your face, on something
totally insignificant even, and totally believe it as truth, since it
came out of their mouth...  With those, I assume it is probably less
than truth, and, while not calling them on it, procede on what I already
know is the truth.
