It would be unlikely that every airport would have a tame bomb defuser
available.  Blowing up the bag or riddling it with machine gun bullets
would be much easier.  Easy to get the machine gun, as every schoolboy
in USA seems to be thus equipped these days.

All theoretical discussion.  I wonder if you would get any sort of
reply if you put those questions to the "authorities", or just a visit
by the Feds at midnight?

When I was using the brown stick I was asked if I could walk without
it for a few paces while it was passed through the scanner.  I could.

But not to Cuba! (Haha!)

We don't have such a "national ID" card here, as Kevin found when he
was asked for an ID to give personal details when he applied for a
Housing Trust flat.  Normally a driver's licence or passport is used,
but Kevin had neither.  He had great trouble trying to prove he
existed.  Eventually he managed to get a copy of his birth
certificate, which also was difficult to do without an ID, and then
used that and an old electricity bill to get a state government ID
issued by the motor traffic office.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Frozen Eggnog
 Categories: Dairy, Beverages, Holiday, Booze, Fruits
      Yield: 1 Gallon
 
     12    Egg yolks
  2 1/2 c  Sugar
      3 qt Heavy cream; whipped
  1 1/2 c  Cognac
      2 c  Dark rum
           -Raisins, soaked in rum
 
  Beat egg yolks until they are thick and pale and gradually beat in
  sugar. Fold in whipped heavy cream and freeze the mixture until it is
  almost hard. Remove the cream from the freezer and let it soften
  slightly. Stir in the Cognac and dark rum, to taste. Stir in a few
  handfuls of rum-soaked raisins, if desired. Return the mixture to the
  freezer. Serve the eggnog in small punch cups, with spoons.
