I wouldn't do it for the safety factor. Steve and I do some going off on
our own--the trip to the Big Island we took in 2004 was a package with
specific tours on specific days. We were on our own for lunch a couple
of those days. On the "circle island" tour, we had a good sized group
(needed a bus); most everybody split for the fast food joints or a
seafood place near our drop off/pick up point. Steve and I went into
town a bit further (Kona) and went to a Greek place we'd spotted on the
way to the drop off point. We had a good meal; the restaurant folks
complained about poor food, service, etc & what can you say about fast
food? The 2nd time we were on our own for lunch, we were dropped off at
the Hilo mall. By then we were down to about 8 people, us and 3 older
couples that came in together. They all went to McD's; we hit up a
Korean place.

Oh well! I guess they're starting on the road or you would be at the
stadium instead of San Diego. (G)

Better to wait and be sure than plunge in to problems.

-> As long as neither one produces a delayed reaction kind of thing......

Is there that possibility?
