I did say I was an "English major". Trained in the Midwest schools and finished
with the AP and New York Times style books for journalists (but, not the
Chicago Tribune style book).

Ok, now I am really confused. Did they file off the attribution to you or to
someone else? Whichever, it's a good recipe.

Phew ... I was afraid it was David Letterman being referenced. I didn't notice
the difference in spelling until I was spell-checking this post. And there was
not a call out for sarcasm in the ingredients.   Bv)=

      Title: Crock-Pot Continental Chicken (Corrected)
 Categories: Crockpot, Poultry, Pork, Soups, Dairy
      Yield: 8 Servings
 
      3 oz Pkg dried beef
      8    Chicken breast halves; boned
           - skinned
      8 sl Bacon
    1/4 c  Flour
    1/4 c  Sour cream
 10 3/4 oz Can mushroom soup; undiluted
 
  On bottom of greased crock-pot, arrange dried beef.  Wrap
  each piece of chicken with a strip of bacon and lay on top
  of dried beef.
  
  In a small bowl, blend sour cream and flour, add soup and
  mix thoroughly. Pour mixture over chicken.
  
  Cover and cook on low, 8 to 10 hours (or 3 to 5 hours on
  high heat). Serve over hot noodles.
