Sorry to hear that.  I did see that upon catching up here in the echo.

Well, he certainly needs the rest no doubt.  I expect sure your prescence there
is the important thing to him.

Would that be another floor in the facility where he is?  That's how it was for
my mom when she was in JFK Hosp. in Florida. She liked that a whole lot better
than the other areas of the hospital she's been in. I guess that would be
because the staff paid more attention to patients in that wing.

Yes, agree there... it's small.  My first impression was to let it slide and to
keep looking, but Ron really liked several aspects of this house: It's
closeness to Ithaca without the cost of being directly in Ithaca (which can be
incredibly, and insanely expensive compared to say a property in Windsor or
Binghamton NY); The price was perfect..; It has a good sized lot which is
something that would have been near to impossible to find right in Ithaca
unless we'd been willing to go into excessive debt..; and since it had been
owned by someone who worked in the masonry trade, the original house which was
built in 1850 was completely gutted, and rebuilt with solid architechture.  It
has a generator that kicks in should the power go out.. that's cool for me (g).
But yes, it will take some getting used to.  And as I told Ron, what the heck,
if we're not happy there, we can sell that one too and find another. (g)

Sounds good.  I saw your message to Dale mentioning the posibility of extending
the dates to the 23rd, etc... I don't see a problem with that.  I think we kind
of did that last time as well IIRC.  :)  Whatever works for people will likely
be fine for us.

==Stuffed Mushrooms with Nuts and Raisins==

24 medium mushrooms
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup pine nuts
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese 2 tablespoons raisins
3 tablespoons dry sherry, or  broth 1/2 cup Italian flavored bread crumbs

Remove mushroom stems and chop fine. In skillet, saute garlic in butter until
golden. Discard garlic.  Add nuts.  Saute until lightly toasted. Stir in
chopped mushroom and cook until juicy. Stir in cheese, raisins, sherry and
breadcrumbs.  Blend until moistened. Stuff mushroom caps lightly.  Brush with
olive oil. Broil 5-7 minutes, or until lightly browned.
