I've tried Church's three times - the first was barely so-so. Could happen to
anyone. The second time was distinctly not good, and the third (all in
different locations) worse. I began to discern a trend. Then, when I 'sucked it
up' and thought to test the Western Ave in Peoria, IL location ... gag a maggot
would be a polite assessment - and that's without trying the food. I'm pretty
much done with Church's.
 
I thought that maybe the Crown and Kennedy referred to the (current) owners of
Church's. Instead St. Google gives me "Kennedy Fried Chicken, also known as
Crown Fried Chicken, is a common restaurant name primarily in the New York-New
Jersey area, but many other similar establishments are found in nearby smaller
cities or towns along the Northeastern United States. Although Kennedy Fried
Chicken is a small and unorganized company, it is playing rivalry with Kentucky
Fried Chicken (KFC) in the inner city neighborhoods of several states along the
East Coast of the United States. A number of them also exist in the West Coast
of the United States, primarily in the state of California."

I've never seen/visited one as they are more in your range of travel than mine.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Afghan Chicken Kebabs
 Categories: Poultry, Asian, Dairy, Citrus
      Yield: 4 Servings
 
      1 c  Yogurt
  1 1/2 ts Salt
    1/2 ts Ground red (cayenne) pepper
      3 cl Garlic; fine minced
  1 1/2 lb Chicken; in kebab sized pcs
           Flat-bread such as lavash,
           - pita or flour tortillas
      3 lg Tomatoes; sliced
      2 lg Onions; sliced
           Cilantro
      2    Lemons or 4 limes; quartered
 
  Mix yogurt, salt, pepper and garlic in a bowl. Mix chicken
  with yogurt and marinate 1 to 2 hours at room temperature,
  up to 2 days refrigerated.
  
  Thread chicken on skewers and grill over barbecue. Place
  bread on plates (if using tortillas, toast briefly over
  flame), divide meat among them, top with tomato and onion
  slices and cilantro and fold bread over. Serve with lemon
  or lime quarters for squeezing.
  
  Makes 4 servings.
