Good luck on that. One of cancer's nasty methods is that it tries
to starve you, and if you can keep your weight up, you tend to do
better - I guess that's true of AIDS and some of the other
diseases as well.

When they got their Lola, she was very glamorous, and Annie,
who likes pretty things, spoiled heck out of her, and whenever
the little pig asked for food (which she did continuously, even
after stealing all the other kitties' food), another can of
Fancy Feast went into the dish. She's now sizable but still
the house favorite. Last night we had a brisket, and Lola
parked herself right by the serving dish; it wasn't until she
tried to sneak stuff off her plate that Annie remembered the
rule, enforced wrt the other cats, of no kitties on the table.

If Annie (who is of course the main authority) weren't around,
all I'd have had to do would have been to waggle my finger at
Lola and say "naughty kitty," and she'd have been off the
table in a second. Yeah, she's afraid of me (as Gail noted),
but it's a good afraid.

I have a bunch in common with your family - we probably evolved
direct from sabertooth tigers or something. Raw meat is enough
for me, and I could eat it two meals a day forever!

Lately I've been having leg cramps; I attribute that to Lasix
and oversweating leaching all the electrolytes out of me.

cat: booze
servings: 1

2 oz Tanqueray Rangpur gin
1/2 oz Grand Marnier
ice
3 oz tonic water
2 oz orange juice

Combine gin and liqueur in a glass. Add ice.
Stir gently. Fill with tonic water and OJ.
Garnish: lime wedge or orange wedge.
