I was partly curious if you'd tried, as I got the job (years ago now) of
figuring out the recipe for my sister-in-law's Swedish Christmas Rye
Bread.  She and I pored over recipes, as she tried to remember what she
had had and what would have been in it.  I tried for maybe 3-4 years,
maybe a couple more, tweaking this and that, and looking at various
other recipes in my books, before I finally produced what she pronounced
Just Right.  I suspect that my final recipe was probably healthier than
what she had actually grown up with... unless, authentic actually did
use the healthier ingredients...  :)

Sorry to hear that.  Hope she recovers ok...

Maybe it wasn't bear in the corn either then...?  Deer might also have
been that destructive...

That's for sure.  :)  Can't beat the taste.  :)   And frozen really
aren't anymore trouble than canned except for adding water...
