Nothing wrong with turning a profit. Thievery, chicanery, usury and outright
fraud are not things that should be done in pursuit of the bottom line and
shareholder profits, however.

How would you hold the flour to the crickets in the popcorn popper? Oil? Egg
wash? I think (but, am not sure) that Andrew Zimmern may have ingested
cucarachas on his Bizarre Foods gig.

The thing about crickets is you are contending with the Disneyesque vision of
Jiminy Cricket, or the friendly (annoying) chirping of a cricket by the hearth.
Cockroaches have the rap of being filthy, disease spreading garbage eaters. IOW
- a mental thing. 

I would do crickets gladly. But, I'd have to be awf'ly hungry to essay a roach.


MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Munch-A-Roaches
 Categories: Grains, Fruits, Candies, Snacks
      Yield: 24 Servings

     15 oz Can tropical fruit salad;
           - drained, fine chopped
      3 tb Butter
 10 1/2 oz Pkg mini-marshmallows
      6 c  Crisped rice cereal
     48    Currants/dried blueberries
     10    Licorice laces, any color

  Sandwich the fruit between 2 layers of paper towel and
  blot away as much moisture as possible.

  Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add the
  marshmallows and stir until melted. Remove from heat and
  stir in fruit and crisped rice cereal until cereal is
  uniformly moistened. Scrape onto a sheet pan and cool.

  Wet your hands and form cereal mixture into 24 tablespoon
  size, egg-shaped balls (bodies) and 24, 1 1/2 teaspoon
  size balls (heads). Stick the heads onto the bodies and
  decorate with currants or dried blueberries for eyes, and
  small pieces of licorice for legs and antenna.
