He basically can't leave her unattended so does his errands when the
morning helper comes. That doesn't leave him too much of a window to get
things done outside the home tho.

Have to ask my brother, see what he thinks. Maybe Dad would give them a
try if we approached it with a "try it for 2-3 days of the week, good
break for you from cooking" angle.

Sounds like you're doing more cooking these days. Steve found a seafood
mix at Harris Teeter the other day, all you need to do is stir fry it
(from the frozen stage) and serve it over rice. I'd have some sort of
vegetable to go with it but might give it a try later this week.
