That's my paternal grandmother's version too, only she was from New Jersey.  
Dad found out he liked veggies only after his grandfather handed them to
him 
raw. One question - I thought the Southern version demanded a cream sauce

at least butter.  I take it that's not the case?

Can's say I've ever seen it.  Around here Barilla costs more than Ragu, 
which is the cheap stuff.  I don't really have a favorite brand per se, 
although Vittoria comes close.  It's also $7/jar unless you hit a good
sale.

Tramadol will kill darned near anything; I had some for post-op pain once.  
Worked better than the real opiates ever did.  I generally only drink on 
major holidays, maybe, or when I'm sick.  As far as alcohol goes, I can 
flunk the yellow line test stone cold sober most days; who needs alcohol?  
MS does some of the same things with no outlay for booze required.
