Not too early for a trick.  On the poor bat that is - it didn't want
anything but OUTTATHERE.

No bugs, so no point in hanging around some place with predators and big

I've checked and rechecked.  Kitties are fine.  Only one got close and all
she did was sniff.  She got her last shot last year. Besides, it was the
wrong species; the ones most likely to be rabid are gray/silver bats here. 
This was a little brown bat.  They can get rabies, but like squirrels
generally keel over dead before they get a chance to transmit it.

My father's mother used ketchup.  Yep - ketchup.  Anything's one up on
that!

The Asian markets here are a LOT cheaper than Whole Foods.

As a matter of fact you generally can't pay tuition and save anything at

Some days you have to wonder why you bothered getting out of bed.  Then
it's OK God, I know you're up to something.  I just wish you'd let me in on
it....
