Yes, indeed.  It used to bother me so much in Windsor when we lived there.
There was a 'gang-of-7' type collection of cats in the neighborhood obviously
abandoned by people (sad). I swear, they reminded me of pirates (eye missing on
one, ear chewed off on another). Just some tough cats who were obviously
"survivors" that liked to wander around at night..  I'd hear the yawls and
start looking around to make sure my silly cats were inside.  :)

hehe.. we had a full-breed Maine Coon Cat at one point..He was an insane
hunter.  Given the size of his paws and teeth it didn't surprise me much
really.. One of the houses we rented for a year or so had a really old thick
stone wall that when we moved in was bursting with chipmonks.. well, Pete
cleaned it out totally.. we'd find little tufts of tails around :( And he
cleaned out his food dish on top of that :)  He was a big kitty though.. that
breed can grow to something like 38lbs I think, though Pete never got THAT big

Lol, could be :)  I read an interesting tidbit a while back... I might have
mentioned this in here or in the cats_meow echo.  Blue Jays can remember their
stalker's faces.  I kind of knew that just from the way they carried on when
some of our kitties when outside.. :)

Yep, definitely true.  I wonder if it has to do with them being well-fed as
well :)

I haven't seen a coyote yet.. I think I can live happily without that
experience :)
