I don't buy *anything* from China Mart as a matter of principle (mine, not
theirs as they don't have any beyond "Gimme the money"). The times I have been
dragooned into going inside one of their stores I have found the aisles narrow
and hard to navigate and the employees seemingly refugees from Radio Shack
(You've got questions? We've got dumb looks!). And with careful shopping I can
beat their prices on nearly everything -- and at better quality. If not at
K-Mart/Kohl's/ShopKo then at one of the Dollar Stores.

Little Caesar's began getting their bad rep with the "Pizza Pizza" promotion.
What they did was take the toppings for a single nicely topped pizza and spread
them over two crusts. My best friend's son used to manage a Li'l Sneezer's
store and he clued me in on the "secret". When I was in Detroit a lot the
Caesar's there had really good sandwiches. But, they seem to have dropped those
from their menu.

At the K-Mart I worked at the deli counter was in the main aisle - when you cam
in the doors if you went straight ahead the deli counter was right there. The
cafeteria/snack bar came later and was on the far left wall of the stores from
the entrance - over past the checkout lanes. That's where the Little Caesar's
were placed when they came in to the mix.

Local pizza places have driven out the chains, pretty much. In a metro area of
175,000 we have two Domino's, Two Caesar's, and are down to four Pizza Hut
stores (from 15). The only out-of-town chain which seems to be thriving is Papa
John's.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Papa John's Pizza Sauce
 Categories: Sauces, Pizza
      Yield: 1 Cup
 
 10 3/4 oz Can tomato puree
    1/4 c  Water
      1 ts Sugar
      1 ts Olive oil
    1/4 ts Lemon juice
    1/4 ts Salt
    1/4 ts Oregano
    1/8 ts Basil
    1/8 ts Thyme
    1/8 ts Garlic powder
 
  1. Combine ingredients in a small saucepan over med heat.
  
  2. Bring to a boil.
  
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  
  Makes 1 cup
