He's thinking he can do it. The worst is behind him, now it's just a
matter of time for all to heal. We booked our tickets for our trip out
west in August; he wants to hold the newest gandbaby as soon as he can.

Have to find out who else is going.

So an hour isn't too much extra time at that. Found out from my dad that
when Mom has appointments at the hospital, the nursing home staff takes
her there. That's one less major worry for him. He was fussing about the
ramp last year but this year he's given it a good bit of use for
himself. (G)

More so the comfort factor. I also was able to cover up a couple of
velcro strips that were catching on a lot of things. He's doing a lot
better overall now--he grilled some pork chops on the outdoor grill last
night. We got some thick cut ones on clearance earlier this week at
Lowe's, ended up splitting one and we'll have the other one for supper
tonight.
