====================
Hi Ruth,

-> Might, but we've had no problems with ordering it direct from the
-> company.

 RH> I've done that before, with products I couldn't get any other way. I
 RH> just got an order of Minor's from Jim's supplier. The shipping was
 RH> almost as much as the product, but since one pound tub lasts about two
 RH> years I

The tea lasts a good while as well, I usually save it for the week ends.
of course last week end we were gone so that saved some. This week end
I'm working on using up a box of British Blend so it'll be next week end
before I grab any. Did see a box of it in WFM last time we went; they'd
had the Original w/ artificial flavors before.

-> We usually get the fruited flavors, might check out the honey ones.

 RH> The ones with American honey aren't as good; you're better off adding
 RH> your own.

Which we get from the farmer's market, a relatively local brand.

-> RH> Last night's dinner for me was Lean Cuisine. It was edible. I got

-> Bleurgh! We tried a few of them some years ago. I'm not even sure I'd
-> call them edible.

 RH> They've improved somewhat.  You'll notice I didn't say great, just
 RH> edible. I've eaten a lot worse.

Probably not on our shopping radar any more tho so won't taste any
improvements.

-> RH> - there were six other people, and two of the six lived there. I
-> RH> spent the evening praying and rubbing knots out of backs. That's
-> RH> probably why they invited me. :-)

-> Could be. Our Wed. night prayer meetings this month have been turned

 RH> I was definitely needed in that capacity. Of course, I did have a
 RH> generous host; he shared his cold with me. It's sending the MS nuts.

-> into getting the new church building ready for moving in. Last night I
-> helped in the nursery; the first Wed. of the month I taped off door
-> handles and hinges so they wouldn't get paint on them. Hoping to move
-> in by the end of the month.

 RH> Cool. We redid part of our building earlier this year. It needed it
 RH> badly.

This is a building given to us by a congregation that disbanded. Part
of the building was built in the 50s, the addition in the 70s. Town of
Wake Forest wants it brought up to current coding before we can occupy
it tho. A lot of that is being done by sweat equity of the
congregation. Steve has been working on the computers; I'll be making
curtains (of various types) for the one ladies room.

-> And, a help for me in years to come. Steve started Greek and Theology I
-> today.

 RH> Why do I suddenly want to start singing Oh God Our Help in Ages Past?

Beats me; I'm the one living with him, not you. (G)

-> RH> Hmmm, I just remembered that I have the remains of a free jar of
-> RH> prefab German Potato Salad dressing in the fridge. I wonder what
 RH> that
-> RH> would taste like on a green salad....

-> Hot dressing+greens=wilted lettuce salad. Good over mashed potatoes.

 RH> Now that's a thought.... I'm not sure I'd do lettuce. Spinach maybe.

Lettuce is good, especially leaf lettuce. Spinach, never tried it but
might be worth a try if I had some fresh on hand.

-> Tonight we had reubens again, using home smoked pastrami. This time we
-> added (on the side) kosher dills and potato chips.

 RH> Now you've got my attention! Kosher dills are one of the best foods
 RH> on earth.

Especially if they're chilled. The night we did them for supper, had
just gotten them so no chance to chill them. We used up that chunk of
pastrami yesterday; the pickles were chilled & much better.

-> RH> know with AM at night. One of the Connecticut clear channel
->  RH> gets
-> RH> picked up in Sweden sometimes.

-> We got WWVA down south once that I can recall as a kid. We've had other
-> skips but can't recall specific stations.

 RH> I sat here one night years ago at about 1AM, and messed with my cruddy
 RH> old stereo to see what was out there. At that time of night all sorts

I recall getting WKBW (from Buffalo) once on a skip too. Used to have
my clock radio tuned to that in college.

-> It was a lot for us at the time. But, we had that car for 9 years, put
-> 135,000+ miles on it before selling it to one of Steve's sisters.

 RH> Who probably sold it to a neighborhood kid, who still has it up on
 RH> blocks somewhere.

Doubt it; its been in NY for 24 years. That means salt on the roads
which tears up a car in nothing flat. A 5 year old car, unless well
maintiained, (washing it several times a week in winter, etc) can be
pretty much a rust bucket. The car is 33 years old if it's still around
so would be pretty much no good for anything but the junk yard.
