Heard more than saw. This was a 742 in the '80s or maybe
early into the '90s. Banging noises, smoke, followed by a
clanging such as you'd get if you ran a stick across a metal
fence when you walked past. I wondered whether to ask about
it (I don't recall an announcement being made), but it was
pointed out that the thing would run perfectly fine on 3 engines,
and the crew probably knew what they were dealing with. At that
point I swore I'd never fly that airline again, but when I
returned (safely) I found waiting for me a notice that I was now
a Premier Mileage Plus member and thus entitled to a certain
number of upgrades. I flew that airline again.

For previous aircraft, Boeing is said to have used the Antonov;
for this one, this monstrosity had to be custom made - not by
Boeing, interestingly, but by the parent company of EVA Air.

I've got to hedge this one, as on a personal level, aside from
the tiny decrease in the chance of being involved in a terrorist-
caused incident (probably well offset by the increase in the
chance of getting some arcane sort of cancer if one uses the
nude-o-scope), there aren't any pluses to either search method.

Nobody's denying that. The aim of the radical Islamists is to
create totalitarianism, and they're doing a good job of that.

A good excuse. What would be the alteration in his routine if
his blood sugar exceeded some threshold?

I was referring more to a sentiment expressed by your wife
rather than a lack of understanding of the issue.

      Title: Frozen Ho Ho Dessert **
 Categories: Desserts, Ice cream, Chocolate, Freezer
   Servings: 20

      2 pk HoHo cakes                         13 oz Cool Whip
      2 qt Ice cream, 1 qt each of 2          16 oz Oreo cookies; crushed
           - different flavors, any           12 oz Hot fudge sauce
           - you choose                             Chocolate shavings

  Cut HoHo cakes in half lengthwise. Line sides, then bottom, of 9x13"
  baking pan with HoHos. Cover with one flavor of ice cream; spread crushed
  oreo cookies over ice cream. Freeze. Add second layer of ice cream.
  Freeze. Pour fudge sauce over this, then top with Cool Whip. Garnish with
  shaved chocolate. Freeze.
