My parents had an old toaster oven, actually a broiler unit with a
pull-out tray, very handy for open-faced broiled cheese sandwiches, or
melting cheese on crackers.  It got used almost every day, so obviously
had it's favored spot on the counter.  :)

I tend to have stuff on hand for quick meals, like surimi and shredded
cheese and canned quartered artichoke hearts, which got tossed together
tonight and nuked until the cheese melted.  And contrary to normal, we
had about one person's lunch worth left over tonight...  ;)
