That's a plus. We were in a Super Target yesterday; they were handing
out all kinds of free samples. The chocolate chip ice cream was very
gummy; the popcorn chicken had no sauce and was on the dry side; there
was nobody at the cereal kiosk tho it was set up for someone; the water
enhancers had all sorts of chemicals and suchlike so we didn't sample
and the pasta & sauce wan't too bad for a white pasta and jarred sauce.
It was probably the best of the samples.

Most of her desserts now are ice cream (unless they have company) or
store bought cookies. They don't do french toast very often, then it's
served with confectioner's sugar or maple syrup; tea is seldom drunk,
sometimes iced in the summer but never hot. Cold cereals--I just can't
see her putting cinnamon on them. She uses raisins instead of sugar.
Buttered toast is rare; it's usually regular bread with jelly at
breakfast. I don't think the toaster oven does a very good job of making
toast so it's a rarity, even more so than when I was a kid. She buys the
Smucker's no sugar jellies; it's a small step towards helping out.
