That's the Atkins plan...the Southbeach is 
more good carb/bad carb oriented. 
The first phase is the most restrictive.
But if my blood sugars are up, limiting
carbs is a good start to getting them 
back down (I hope!)

True, but I'm in no hurry to give them
another shot at the joint while I can still
use it (albeit with a limp). When it gets
bad enough, perhaps the "problem" will
be detectable and fixable then.

Went this morning...Big store, VERY big. about twice 
the size of most larger grocery stores around here. 
Some good deals, some not so good deals which is
fairly typical of grocery stores in general. Since they
are "new" and it's a new chain to the area they are
running quite a few loss leaders, in the produce and
meat departments...some things are higher though. 
Although they DO carry canned baby lima beans which
I have not seen anywhere else for a long time! 
I think it will be a place I go to semi regularly, but 
I'll keep an eye on the things I usually buy for good
deals.
