In a more general way, I have found that to be a good thing... at one
point when helping my neighbor, before she added me to her bank account
as a signatory, she was totally incapable for a couple of months to do
anything with her finances...  her daughter being very online savvy, and
me knowing what needed to be done, the two of us took care of things
online until Gwen was able to sign her checks again... Shortly before,
in an effort to get some old bank statements for her, the bank officer
had set up an online account, just to retreive those... we'd never
planned to use that afterwards, but, providentially, it was already in
place so that we could....  :)

Good thing... :)  Hard sometimes in some situations to know what the
best options are... and what will work, given which scenarios...  :) 
We've found that when available, a credit union is far superior to most
commercial banks...  :)

Since we do our shopping on Friday usually... yes, we were well enough
stocked... and could just watch the snow accumulate and dig out the next
day at somewhat leisure..  ;)  Didn't have anywhere to go until Friday
anyway..  ;)

At least you had things you could do inside, so that you could still
enjoy their visit...  ;)

Not bad enough to keep him from getting the smoker going, at least. :)
It is the season to get the corned beef reasonable...  ;)  We bought our
annual corned beef round, and had it for two meals so far of "boiled
dinner"... (G)  Corned beef, cabbage, little red potatoes, baby carrots,
onions... and Irish soda bread to accompany...  Today I'm turning the
leftovers into a soup to be served with the bread... even the broth
turned out pretty tasty... so all I need to do is cut down the meat and
veggies into smaller chunks...  :)  If we didn't have the rest of the
loaf, I might have made some biscuits to accompany, but that's not
necessary... need to finish up the bread, too... :)
