We lived on the NC coast for several years before Steve went in the
Army, back when tobacco was a major cash crop. You're right, fresh
curing tobacco does smell really good. It's when they take it to the
facotries and mix it with all those chemicals and other junk, then roll
it into a cigarette, it stinks! W-S was one of the larger cigarette
manufacturing communities in the state--air there was a major contrast
to the coast and tobacco curing barns.

I've had some dishes that could have used a touch less than what was
used. I've also had some that could have used quite a bit more than what
was in it.

We've had various things get in the way of attending picnics over the
years. Maybe one of these days everything will come together so we see
each other at a picnic. One of these days, Steve and I may try hosting
one but not any time really soon.
